We took off the covers a couple weeks ago from greens 1 and 7. Today Jose rolled while I cut greens for the 1st time. We will mow again early next week before we make our first application to control Poa seedheads.
We dumped once per green. Much of the material collected was brown. The greens on 2, 3 and 8 had more active growth. They are more protected from the cold winter breezes. Our greens are a cultivar call L-93. They tend to green up slowly. We just need some sunny warm days.
We will continue to put course accessories on the course in the next week or so. Also, we will put out our new 150 posts and eventually mark sprinkler heads with distance to center of the green. Bunker renovation will resume in a couple of weeks.
